Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Nasir li-din Allah (AH 575-622 / AD 1180-1225) within two concentric circles, ‘al-imām Aḥmad / Abu’l-ʿAbbās / al-Nāṣir li-dīn Allāh / amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘Imam Ahmad Abu’l-ʿAbbas al-Nasir li-din Allah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); illegible mint and date formula in the margin. Rev. Citing his son and heir al-Kamil Muhammad within two concentric circles, ‘ʿāl / al-malik al-ʿĀdil / Abū Bakr Muḥammad bin Ayyūb / walī ʿahduhū al-malik / al-Kāmil Muḥammad / ghāya’ (‘Extremely high [quality]. King al-ʿAdil Abu Bakr Muhammad son of Ayyub. His successor to the covenant (i.e., heir) King al-Kamil Muhammad’ in Arabic); in the margin, traces of ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh Muḥammad rasūl Allāh arsalahū bi al-hudā wa dīn al-ḥaqq liyuẓhirahū ʿalā al-dīn kullih’ (‘There is no deity but Allah.
